Study: Most Americans have heard of CBD

Many Americans Have Heard of CBD. How many have tried it?

According to a recent Harris Poll, a majority of Americans know of CBD. Of the 2,000 people surveyed, 86% of them had heard of the cannabis-derived compound. Yet, less than 1 in 5 had tried it. Only 7% say they use on a regular basis.

Those numbers may not be shocking to most of us. Cannabidiol is everywhere. A National Restaurant Association survey had 3 out of 4 chef’s proclaim CBD as the food trend of 2019.

What You Need To Know

CBD

You might be asking “isn’t CBD kind of a new thing?” Well, it is in the marketplace.

Cannabidiol is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis. After the passing of the Farm Bill,  probably heard a lot about the stuff as the CBD space has boomed.

The bill did a few things, one of which is it legalized hemp. CBD is an active ingredient in cannabis-derived from the hemp plant.

After the bill passed in the House, Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue made said in a statement that the passage of the “2019 Farm Bill is good news because it provides a strong safety net for farmers and ranchers, who need the dependability and certainty this legislation affords.”

With that the industry has grown rapidly, but with little oversight.
